Ingredients
1lb.strawberrieswashed and hulled
¼cupsugar or grated panela/piloncillo - adjust more or less to your preferenceYou can also use honey or maple sryup
¼cupwater
½lemonjuiced
Instructions
Cut the strawberries into slices.
Combine the slice strawberries, the sugar, water and lemon juice n a small pot over medium heat.
Bring to a boil and cook over medium low heat for 20-30 minutes.
This strawberry sauce can served warm over crepes, pancakes or waffles.
You can also cool it down and serve it cold over ice cream, pannacotta, yogurt, etc.
