Su origen se remonta a la \u00e9poca de la colonia espa\u00f1ola en Venezuela. Muchos historiadores coinciden que se trat\u00f3 de un esfuerzo creativo de los esclavos negros e indios por incorporar alimentos de mejor calidad a sus comidas.
