Tal vez la manera m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil de describirlas es decir que son similares a los tamales, pero preparados con ma\u00edz fresco. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">La mayor\u00eda de la gente ac\u00e1 en EEUU conoce los tamales mexicanos, aunque tambi\u00e9n hay algunas diferencias entre los tamales de M\u00e9xico y los tamales de Ecuador. En Ecuador, las humitas son un plato t\u00edpico de la Sierra y se sirven con el cafecito de la tarde o para el desayuno, aunque vale mencionar que son deliciosas a cualquier hora. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Las humitas tambi\u00e9n se conocen como humintas, chumales, choclotandas, tamalitos verdes, tamales de elote, envueltos, bollos de mazorca, pamonha en distintos lugares de Latinoam\u00e9rica. No sab\u00eda esto la primera vez que intente preparar humitas fuera de Ecuador y me salieron s\u00faper aguados, entonces aprend\u00ed que deb\u00eda ponerles menos liquido (crema\/leche\/mantequilla\/huevos) y agregar un poco de harina de ma\u00edz para obtener una consistencia m\u00e1s firme, mientras m\u00e1s tierno este el choclo tiene que ponerle mas harina de ma\u00edz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.laylita.com\/recetas\/wp-content\/uploads\/Receta-para-humitas.jpg\" alt=\"Humitas de choclo\" title=\"Humitas ecuatorianas\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">En mi ciudad, Loja, es muy t\u00edpico que las humitas est\u00e9n rellenas con quesillo, y mi mama siempre era muy generosa con el quesillo, no solo lo pon\u00eda de relleno pero tambi\u00e9n pon\u00eda un poco en la mezcla con el choclo molido. Para recalentar las humitas lo puede hacer en el microondas o tambi\u00e9n les puede quitar la envoltura y fre\u00edrlas por ambos lados hasta que est\u00e9n doraditas.<\/p>\n\n\n<div leche, la mantequilla derretida, las yemas de los huevos,  el polvo de hornear, el az\u00facar, y la sal, muela todos los ingredientes hasta obtener un pur\u00e9.<\/span><\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-11104-step-0-4\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Bata las claras de huevo a punto de nieve y de la parte superior de la vaporera. class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Ponga las hojas en agua hirviendo durante un par de minutos, luego cierne y guarde las hojas hasta el momento de envolver las humitas.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-11095-step-0-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Limpie bien los choclos pelados, quit\u00e1ndoles las pelusitas, y use un chuchillo para desgranar los choclos, si no tiene una vaporera para cocinar las humitas class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\"><span style=\"display: block;\">En el procesador de alimentos ponga los granos de choclos, 1 taza de queso o quesillo, las cebollas picadas, los ajos machacados, la harina de ma\u00edz, la crema, los huevos, y la sal, muela todos los ingredientes hasta obtener un pur\u00e9.<\/span><\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-11095-step-0-4\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">En una olla de tipo tamalera ponga aproximadamente 2 \u00bd tazas de agua y la vaporera, el nivel de agua debe estar justo debajo de la parte superior de la vaporera. Si no tiene una vaporera ponga las tusas y algunas de las hojas de choclo en el fondo de la olla, as\u00ed mismo el nivel de agua debe llegar justo a la parte superior de las tusas pero sin cubrirlas completamente.<\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-11095-step-0-5\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\">Para rellenar y envolver las hojas con la mezcla de las humitas, use 2 hojas de buen tama\u00f1o para cada humita, ponga las hojas una encima de otra, doble el costado, luego doble la punta creando un peque\u00f1o bolsillo, rellene las hojas con una buena cucharadade la mezcla de choclo, ponga un poquito de queso rallado o desmenuzado en el centro, luego doble el otro costado de las hojas y use las tiras de las hojas peque\u00f1as para amarrar la humita.
