En Ecuador, tenemos un plato t\u00edpico llamado <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a title=\"Receta de las humitas ecuatorianas\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.laylita.com\/recetas\/2009\/01\/27\/humitas\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">humitas<\/span><\/a><\/span>, se tratan de pastelitos de choclo o ma\u00edz fresco (elote para mis amigos mexicanos) con queso que se envuelven en las mismas hojas de ma\u00edz y se cocinan al vapor. Se puede decir que son como tamales pero hechos con ma\u00edz tierno \u2013 pero cuidado con decirles tamales que hay personas que se ofenden. Claro, que para los que vivimos en EEUU o Europa, es dif\u00edcil encontrar choclo o ma\u00edz tierno durante el invierno o a principios de la primavera. Pero, cuando veo las fotos de los que est\u00e1n disfrutando de las humitas en Ecuador, me muero de ganas de hacerlas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por eso decid\u00ed preparar este pastel de humita mientras espero que llegue el verano. Esta receta del pastel de choclo usa los mismos ingredientes que la receta de humitas de mi mama. La principal diferencia es que en lugar de envolver las humitas en las hojas de ma\u00edz, se pone la mezcla en un molde o lata para hornear, con una capa de queso en el medio, y se lo hornea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.laylita.com\/recetas\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pastel-de-choclo-or-pastel-de-humita-con-curtido-de-tomate-y-cebolla.jpg\" alt=\"Pastel de choclo or pastel de humita con curtido de tomate y cebolla\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Aun durante los meses de verano, a veces cuando me sobra la mezcla de las humitas, o cuando estoy media vaga (y carishina) suelo preparar este pastel de humita. El pastel de choclo se puede preparar con choclo o ma\u00edz fresco, pero tambi\u00e9n con choclo congelado o enlatado que se puede encontrar durante cualquier tiempo del a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n<div La receta tradicional chilena tiene un relleno de carne y la mezcla de ma\u00edz o choclo se cocina antes de ser horneada. Durante el verano pasado en Ecuador hicimos humitas en casa de mi mam\u00e1 y una amiga australiana las preparo con nosotras. Ella hab\u00eda preparado el pastel de choclo chileno anteriormente y le encant\u00f3 la del pebre chileno con que se acompa\u00f1a ese plato en Chile. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Justamente hab\u00edamos preparado un curtido de tomate y cebolla ese d\u00eda, que es similar al pebre, excepto que no lleva chiles o aj\u00edes picantes y ajo. Lo servimos con las humitas y quedo muy rico.
