Hay quienes afirman que son caraque\u00f1os, de la Caracas colonial, donde se preparaban con masa de ma\u00edz pilado y se rellenaban con guiso de cerdo. Por su parte, los yaracuyanos, zona de los llanos venezolanos los reclaman como propios. La versi\u00f3n yaracuyana se rellena con carne de chivo, y se sirve con suero, incluso a la masa de ma\u00edz, le agregan un pl\u00e1tano majado. En algunas partes del pa\u00eds ya no se preparan tanto. Me recuerda a mi ni\u00f1ez y a los bollitos pelones de mi abuela perfectamente redondos y dorados. Quiz\u00e1 esta a\u00f1oranza y el amor por mis ra\u00edces, me hizo elegir los bollos pelones como entrada para mi prueba de cocina. Entendiendo mi falta de conocimiento en aquella \u00e9poca, eleg\u00ed no cambiar la columna vertebral de la receta, es decir, respetar la masa, el guiso y la salsa, pero d\u00e1ndole un toque gourmet agregando tomates secos a la salsa y algunas otras cosas. No podr\u00eda decir que el resultado fue malo, solo confund\u00ed al jurado presentado bollos pelones, que claramente hoy s\u00e9 que son un plato completo, como una entrada. Me permitieron correr a la cocina y modificar mi presentaci\u00f3n, mientras bromeaban de las porciones que se comer\u00edan en mi futuro restaurant. Por ejemplo, la Chef Mercedes Oropeza al frente de los fogones del restaurant \u201cHajillo\u2019s\u201d en el Hatillo, le dijo a la revista Estampas:&nbsp; \u201cMi toque personal es, que como se trata de un bollito pel\u00f3n, le pongo una peluca (risas)\u201d.
