Este plato emblema de la gastronom\u00eda venezolana se compone de caraotas negras guisadas (frijoles negros), carne mechada, arroz blanco y pl\u00e1tanos maduros fritos. Hay quienes adicionalmente lo acompa\u00f1an con <a href=\"https:\/\/www.laylita.com\/recetas\/como-hacer-arepas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">arepas<\/a>, rodajas de aguacate, queso blanco frito o huevo frito. Para hacer el pabell\u00f3n, es preferible iniciar la preparaci\u00f3n de las caraotas negras, las cuales pueden demorar m\u00e1s tiempo mientras ablandan, luego hacer la carne mechada y consecuentemente el arroz.
