Por fortuna, mi familia se lo comi\u00f3, entre chistes y disimulo, pero se lo comieron. Nada de esto me amilano, y cada vez que tuve una oportunidad, prepar\u00e9 otro y otro m\u00e1s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mi afici\u00f3n por la cocina empez\u00f3 cuando era muy peque\u00f1a. Desde que tengo uso de memoria estaba cerca de mi abuela, en la cocina, intentando tomar el control de alguna tarea. Por mi propia seguridad eran muy pocas las cosas que se me permit\u00edan hacer. Y en navidad el pan de jam\u00f3n era mi norte culinario. Este delicioso pan, relleno de jam\u00f3n, tocineta, pasas y aceitunas suele ser costoso. As\u00ed que los venezolanos tenemos la costumbre de comprar uno en las panader\u00edas para las cenas de navidad y a\u00f1o nuevo. Para obtener una buena masa, es necesario condimentarla con esencia de vainilla, y de ser posible esencia de mantecado. Agregar una cucharada de mostaza tambi\u00e9n es ideal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;La mayor\u00eda de las veces que hacemos panes enrollados, tenemos tendencia a cerrar los extremos, con el pan de jam\u00f3n no s\u00e9 debe hacer porque queda crudo en el centro. Este es el error m\u00e1s frecuente que cometen los novatos al hacer el pan de jam\u00f3n.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>El segundo error m\u00e1s frecuente es no colocar relleno en los extremos del pan; cuando las \u201ccolitas\u201d del pan quedan vac\u00edas tienden a perderse (nadie las quiere comer). Entonces, cubre toda la superficie de la masa con jam\u00f3n, y aseg\u00farate que los extremos tengan pasas y aceitunas suficientes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Por \u00faltimo, una vez que el pan de jam\u00f3n sale del horno, se debe barnizar dos veces con mantequilla derretida. Otra variaci\u00f3n muy frecuente es agregar queso crema al relleno, queso fresco, ciruelas pasas o alcaparras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Yo recomiendo, preparar primero la versi\u00f3n tradicional, si a Coloca el pan sobre la bandeja, y d\u00e9jalo reposando por una media hora m\u00e1s. Coloca los panes con suficiente separaci\u00f3n entre s\u00ed, porque tienden a crecer.
